In town for a wedding the weekend of June 23. Will have Friday afternoon through Saturday morning, early afternoon free. Anything fun to do in Winchester in the summer? Good restuarants, bars, etc?

There is a Bulgarian restaurant in Winchester called Sophia. Otherwise, there are a lot of chain restaurants such as IHOP, Perkins, Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel, etc. I like the mall there, The Apple Blossom Mall simply because it has some interesting shops along with some chain stores. Near the mall at the intersection of Route 50 and Route 522 is a strip shopping center that has a true outlet store in it called Gabriel%26#39;s. Also, in that shopping center is a Mexican restaurant. As for bars--perhaps others can come up with something. At that same intersection is a steakhouse that has been there for years, Texas Roadhouse. In town, there is Shenandoah University (across the street from the Mall on Route 50) and there are various events on campus.
