Hi, we%26#39;re considering GV or KCP, not our first choice but, may have to do either of these. Can anyone recommend either and give me some info on the best choice for seeing the historical sites and also the water parks etc.. Thanks!
Greensprings vacation resort or Kings Creek Plantation? We stayed at Greensprings in October 08. While a little dated, we enjoyed it. There are only two of us but we had a spacious 2 bdr condo with balcony. It was immaculate. We had a request about an iron which they immediately took care of. We had a major problem with internet service. We could not get any signal in our condo. I don%26#39;t know if that was resort wide. But the response from them was poor. You can take your laptop to the Registration area and use it there but it isn%26#39;t convenient. They also have a computer there that everyone wants to use. It is slower than molasses and kicks you off too. If you don%26#39;t need a computer then it is not a problem.
I am guessing you may have children because of the water park comment? Greensprings has a large beautiful pool, ping pong tables, small playground and I think something else for kids all near the Registration area. You need a car to get anywhere. It is close to Jamestowne but about 15 minutes or so to Williamsburg itself. There are a couple of malls close by for restaurants plus those in the historic part too.
Another thing. They will ask you if you want to attend a resort presentation. I think they will give you a voucher for $25. Say no. They will call you again and give you more. We decided to do it. If you are not interested say no, but we got a $50 or $100 certificate (can%26#39;t remember) and a coupon for a trip to one of their other resorts for a presentation. I think it is good for 6 months. You pay airfare but can stay at the resort for a couple of days. We didn%26#39;t use that but loved the coupon.
I can%26#39;t comment on the other resort.
Greensprings vacation resort or Kings Creek Plantation? You don%26#39;t say how large your party is or if you have children. KCP is family friendly, has large units and is located right next to Water Country USA.
I am leaning towards staying at KCP. I am just trying to find a presentation deal. (like 5 nights/6 days for a certain price with a timeshare presentation), I just don%26#39;t know where to start looking for it.
