We have reservations at this restaurant and wanted to know how casual/dressy it is. For anyone who has dined there, what is the dress code and how are people generally dressed? Thanks.

';Dressy casual'; is probably the best way to go. You will find people there that have been at CW all day, and others with coat and tie. But casual should be comfortable for you.
The Fat Canary is a great place to dine. Enjoy!

By casual, do you mean shorts or jeans and sneakers?
Please realize that this is our personal preference for Fat Canary. My husband wears a pair of dress pants and a long sleeved shirt, no tie or jacket. I have worn both skirt and blouse or slacks and blouse. The majority, but not all of the other diners were wearing similar outfits.
But, we have also seen neat looking jeans or khaki pants. Not too many were wearing shorts.
A lot depends on your personal preference. We enjoy wearing nice but casual clothes when dining here.
Hope this helps a bit.

The Op answered the shorts and jeans question pretty well -- we would not go to the Fat Canary dressed that way, and we have not seen others do so.
We went for our anniversary last year - I wore a sundress with a sweater over it, and my husband wore a short sleeve button down shirt and khakis. We felt like we were dressed right - we saw one group in shorts and tshirts, and the rest were dressed up like us or a little dressier.
BTW, if you are celebrating something special, let them know - they will help with the celebration! :)
Thanks all. We were there last week and dressed nicely. I was thinking that perhaps we%26#39;d be coming directly from touring CW and might be more casually dressed, but we were able to get changed into more proper attire.
We all enjoyed a quite wonderful meal, one that compares favorably with other fine dining experiences we have had.
