Hotels?

We are coming for a wedding the end of May. It seems that Days Inn is the only hotel in town??? Their reviews on tripadvisor are terrible!!!! Are they really that bad and is there any other options??? Any feedback is appreciated!!!

Hotels?

These were recommended by the most recent poster on the Day%26#39;s Inn. Here%26#39;s their urls. (Usually the local family provides some info re accommodations for out of town guests. You might ask them for their choice or just google these further.)

I grew up in Colonial Beach. Although it has changed some, I can give you some insight.

The Riverview Inn, as it%26#39;s called now, is very old and I have no idea what it%26#39;s condition is and how it%26#39;s managed. Doc%26#39;s Motor Court is also quite old, but it is owned and run by a local family that has owned it from day one. Very nice people. I%26#39;m sure it%26#39;s clean and well maintained. It is also right on the water (well, across the stree). The other two are bed and breakfasts and could be very nice. The Bell House is a landmark in Colonial Beach. I didn%26#39;t know it had become a bed %26amp; breakfast, though. It also sits right on the water. I looks like it%26#39;s been renovated.

Some other options:

1. King George County on Rt. 301 near Dahlgren, VA has some hotels. There is a Naval Lab at Dahlgren that employs many people from the are. They also need to accommodate people on travel working at the Lab. That area is about 20 minutes from Colonial Beach.

2. Fredericksburg, VA is another option. It%26#39;s about 35 miles from Colonial Beach. Fredericksburg has quite a number of hotels/motels with most chains represented. I currently reside in Fredericksburg.
