If it should rain while in Williamsburg, what is there still to do there?
If it rains.......
Everything, just come prepared with umbrellas and jackets. No reason to stop siteseeing unless the rains are torrential.
Even Busch Gardens remains open, rides will close for lightening.
If it rains.......
We are leaving tomorrow and it%26#39;s calling for rain on Friday and Saturday. I read of the CW site that some of the outdoor programs might not happen, but the buildings will be open. I%26#39;m planning our days around the good weather.
If it rains at Colonial Williamsburg, the Revolutionary City street theater is moved inside to the Capitol with an abbreviated version. Otherwise, just about everything else continues on as usual.
Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center go on as usual. At Historic Jamestowne, the archaeological dig may be suspended during heavy rain. But these two sites have extensive museums which can occupy a great deal of ';indoor'; time.
The museums( DeWitt Wallace and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art) located within the Publick Hospital are wonderful places to spend a rainy day. There are excellent exhibits including furniture, ceramics, art, clothing, and much more.
There is also a nice cafe where you can sit and relax a bit with a sandwich, salad, dessert and beverage.
There are also programs presented in the Hennage Auditorium---just check to see what programs might be held during your visit.
Enjoy your visit!

We had a rainy day here yesterday, so I took my two girls (9 y.o.) to the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News. The museum in about the natural history and environment in Virginia. There are 4 different areas to explore inside (including exhibits with live fish, reptiles, small mammals) and an outdoor boardwalk that takes visitors by exhibits with red wolves, a bobcat, an aviary, red and grey foxes and more. We explored the boardwalk in light rain and all the animals were up and active. There%26#39;s also a cafeteria on-site. It was a nice way to spend about 3 hours.
Also in Newport News is the Mariner%26#39;s Museum. Great place.
