tickets

Hello! We will be going to Williamsburg May 23 for a week. We will have two 16 yr old boys also. We want to get the 7 day tickets for Busch Gardens and also all the historic sites. It seems like the best BG tickets are the ones with the water park too. Does anyone know of any deals out there for these parks? If I do purchase the multi day tickets for all the parks, does it include free parking? We already are staying at condo in kings gate resort. Has anyone stayed at that resort? Is it nice? I%26#39;m really getting excited about the trip now!! We have a long drive, 15 hrs., we are coming from Baton Rouge, Louisiana! I also would love to do the evening programs that they have. Is it best just to purchase those tickets there or is it cheaper on the internet? Please any info will be appreciated!!! Have a great day!! Oh one more thing, is the weather warm at that time of the year? Will shorts be good? :)

My suggestion is to post many topics - each a unique question.

Your title on this topic is ';tickets'; - when in fact you have many more questions. We opened this by accident.

Are the 16yo males ';into'; the historic areas? Many that age couldn%26#39;t care less!! BG and Water Country are usually the draws.

uswe your favorite website for historical averages - check it a few minutes beofre leaving. as in most locales, weather changes daily. FWIW I am in shorts almost daily.

Hello there, tamsteve, I just checked history.org. The bounce package, or the flex package might be what you are looking for. Check that web site, (click on ';tickets'; at the top of the page) for prices. I see where the bounce package offers a 20% discount if you purchase them online. It says to call for more info on the flex package. There are a few more options that you can look at, too. Free parking at the historical sites, I%26#39;m sorry, I don%26#39;t know about BG or the water park, never went there. Evening programs at CW are really wonderful. Check them out on that page, also. After you check things out, please write again, and we will be so happy to give you our reviews of places and programs, and also to try and help you any way we can. Glad to here you are excited!! This is a wonderful area, lots of things to do for every age. Yep, you sure do have a long drive, but it will be so worth it!! from Mary.

Are you planning on going to the Jamestowns and Yorktowns, too? We can also help you with those places.

Have fun with your planning!!

Hi Tamsteve -- welcome to Williamsburg. I did check weather.com for you and if you have average weather May 23-29, you can expect overnight lows of about 57 degrees and daytime highs of 68 degrees. Figure a day or two of rain, also.

As far as I know Colonial Williamsburg does not discount its event tickets except for its hotel guests. Somebody correct me, though, if that is wrong.

Williamsburg is a relatively small place given the size of its visitation, so to be on the safe side, I%26#39;d book my tavern meals and event tickets asap. 1-800-HISTORY is a good way to do that. You%26#39;ll find a calendar and descriptions of everything on history.org or colonialwilliamsburg.com.

Have your sons taken U.S. Government in school, yet? If they have, they%26#39;ll be prepped for the political history they%26#39;ll be encountering, and if they haven%26#39;t, now would be a good time to figure out what they could do in Williamsburg to get extra credit next year!

Hope you have a great vacation.

The Colonial Williamsburg multi day passes (e.g. Liberty Pass) includes a 25% discount to evening programs.

Only the Liberty Pass and Hotel Guest passes at CW provide a 25% discount on evening programs. The ';partnership passes'; (Bounce, Flex, Historic Triangle) while multi-day passes, do not give discounts. Those passes do provide free parking though at the various parks which can be a big savings if spending several days at BG and WC. Weather is usually warm in May and can be very warm, even humid. It can also be rainy, so bring an umbrella. Always bring a lighjacket, windbreaker or shawl with you wherever and whenever you go anywhere.

As was mentioned in my earlier post, only the Colonial Williamsburg multi day passes, in addition to the hotel passes, include evening program discounts -- reference to the multi attraction tickets was specifically omitted.

Rumor is that another CW incentive type pass may be announced soon, for the summer season, to attract guests, so stay tuned! Whether it would include evening program discounts is currently unclear.
