Coming to Chincoteague in may from Uk.
Where will we find the best %26#39;Crab feasts'; I remember so well from my time there in the 1990s?
Can be in the surrounding area??
Where to get great crabs?
There%26#39;s an all you can eat crab place on Maddox Blvd near the Island Creamery that isn%26#39;t bad. Probably the best choice other than steaming your own.

Steamers on Maddox is all you can eat on the Island.
Wrights Seafood out in Wattsville is a popular local favorite -- a bit of a drive -- but good -- they have crabs, fried chicken, rib combos with corn, etc -- paper on tables in the crab galley.
There are two or three places on the island where you can call up and order as many as you want pre-steamed. If you have a picnic table or kitchen at your rental, just pick them up and have an all night feast at your own place.
A lot of the local restaurants have crabs on the menu in various forms -- but those are your options for cracking your own!
i am staying at the Waterside Inn which has grills and picnic tables. I wonder whether they will mind us taking our pre steamed crabs back there?
Thank you for this reply.
We%26#39;re driving down from New York via Atlantic City. Has any one got any good recommendations for places to visit and good cheap eats/road food en route and in the area?
Thank you everyone in advance..

Just south of the hotel where you are staying, right off Main Street on Beebe Road, there is a produce %26amp; seafood market called Ricky%26#39;s. They will steam crabs for you or clams or pretty much anything you%26#39;d like to bring back to your hotel for a feast. They are right near the Tom%26#39;s Cove Campground, so they are used to doing a lot of carry outs. Have fun while you%26#39;re here %26amp; try to explore the back side of the island a bit - most tourists head right to the beach road (Maddox Blvd) and see all the t-shirt and miniature golfing places, but the interior of the island has a lot of fun things to see %26amp; do - even a bowling alley!
