Seafood-fresh casual and delicious

Hi all,

We have 1 night to enjoy delicious fresh seafood. Not a fancy set-up. Would appreciate your opinions and suggestions..Thanks so much for your recommendations.

I am a veggie eater but my fish loving friends say the following........

O%26#39;Sullivans Wharf (my favorite), very casual, local spot on a creek off the Lafayette River, Colley Ave and 43rd

Blue Crab Pretty Lake Ave East Beach

456 Fish Downtown Norfolk

However, I actually prefer several restaurants in the Chick%26#39;s Beach area, Shore Dr Va Beach, not too far from East Beach/Ocean View. Chick%26#39;s Cafe Vista Circle off Shore Dr is great, on the river, casual good, fresh, food. Same area and just as good is Bubba%26#39;s and I also like Croaker%26#39;s opposite side of Lesner Bridge on Shore Dr, good food, but NO atmosphere. Surf Rider, several locations, is a locals favorite, very good seafood, casual.

Thanks much for the suggestions. Used to live there years ago and just 1 chance for fresh seafood this trip. Very casual. Now, I have to decide. You gave so many suggestions. Any thoughts on just 1 night---- and seafood?

I read alot about Dockside Seafood. Any comments?

I%26#39;m not familiar with Dockside but reviews sound great. In Norfolk I%26#39;d pick O%26#39;Sullivans Wharf Colley Ave, but if you are considering Va Beach, I%26#39;d go with Chick%26#39;s. Since I am a lightweight concerning seafood, consider posting your question in the Va Beach forum (ask for suggestions for both Va Beach %26amp; Norfolk),the posters will steer you in the right direction.
