Richmond Itinerary ,what order ?
Pamplin Historical Park http://www.pamplinpark.org/, is 30 minutes south of Richmond, so plan on at least 1/2 day for that. It may be closed on weekends, but open on weekdays-check their web site.
The Virginia Aviation Museum is out at the airport, about 10 miles east of downtown Richmond, not really that close to the other places you want to see but not a huge inconvenience to get to.
By Musuem Avenue, I think you mean Monument Avenue, which is a beautiful urban street. From the westernmost statue (Arthur Ashe-20th century tennis champion-a Richmond native) to the easternmost statue (Jeb Stuart), is no more than a 5-10 minute drive. But plan to stop a a couple of them and park on the street, and get a close look. But that%26#39;s going to be short--you could easily do all of that on your way to or from dinner one evening.
If you do mean Museum Avenue, then I think you%26#39;re talking about the Boulevard, which has the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the imposing and beautiful HQ building of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Virginia Historical Society museum, all in a row. But the VMFA will close for a number of months around June 28-to complete a major expansion project.
Hollywood Cemetery is only about a 5 minute drive from the Jeb Stuart statue, the cemetery office is closed on weekends, I think, so if you wanted to ask questions there, just keep that in mind. Check with them to be sure.
The American Civil War Center-at Tredegar Iron Works is close to the White House of the Confederacy/Museum of the Confederacy, maybe a mile or 2 apart. Both are not far from the Holocaust Museum, I believe you could do all of those in a day.
Not sure about the railway museum or the Chimborazo Medical Museum, but you%26#39;ll probably hear from others who do know location and logistics on them.
Regency Square is a good 20-minute drive west from the downtown sites (cemetery, Monument Ave., Holocaust Museum, White H. of the Confederacy, Tredegar, etc.). It%26#39;s a nice mall, there are other newer ones in the area, though.
Hope this helps get you started.
Richmond Itinerary ,what order ?
Yes I meant Monument Avenue. If there are newer malls closer to the area Id rather check that out than Regency.
The Medical Museum at Chimbarazo is run by the National Park Service and is in Church Hill not far from St. John%26#39;s Church at 24th and E Broad St, where Patrick Henry gave his famous %26#39;Liberty or Death%26#39; speech, and is also worth a visit. The Holocaust Museum is near 20th St, at the bottom of Church Hill. This area is not far from downtown (maybe a mile).

The American Civil War Center and the Museum and White House of the Confederacy are located downtown, the first is right on the river near 6th and Tredegar St, and the Museum/white House on E. Clay, just north of Broad St. It%26#39;s a stiff uphill walk from the river to the Museum/White House.

If you time it right, there are daily (Mon-Sat) walking tours offered in Hollywood Cemetery by the Richmond History Center that I highly recommend:

The Old Dominion Railway museum is just south of downtown, across the river, near the end of the 14th St bridge. The whole place is essentially in a railroad car, so if you stop there, it won%26#39;t take long.
I would suggest that visiting all or most of these would easily fill up a day, or easily the better part of two days. Driving down Monument Avenue is a nice way to finish off your day and is just west of downtown. If you stay downtown, you can walk to many of these places, or take just a short car ride. Plot them on Google maps and work out your day. Take a look at the new Hilton Garden Inn that just opened in downtown Richmond. It%26#39;s really attractive and well-located near some great restaurants.
If you finish all that in one day and want to see other things you will have to choose carefully or you will be driving all over the place, because the other things on your list are scattered.
As the PP noted, Pamplin Historical Park is a good 45 minute ride from downtown, and will end up eating up a good part of a day. You pretty much already have enough in town to keep you busy, especially if you want to shop. If you%26#39;re serious about it, you could combine that with the Aviation Museum, which is near the airport. That one took me about an hour.
Shopping centers you may want to consider are Stony Point or Short Pump mall, or you might enjoy the boutiques in Carytown, which would be convenient if you do stay downtown. Google Carytown Richmond; shops and restaurants are on W Cary St between the Boulevard and Thompson Sts.

Enjoy your visit!
Thanks for the replies!! Im pretty excited about going now.
Anything else not on the list that we should check out? It can be history or non history related.
Since it looks like you%26#39;ll be spending a fair amount of time in the downtown area, I recommend the tours of the newly renovated State Capitol. Thomas Jefferson was the architect, and the state recently completed a renovation that brought much of the facility back to its original condition, plus added a new underground extension. There are free tours offered on the half hour 7 days a week. The trip is a real tour through Virginia history.

Enjoy your trip!
Thanks so much for the recommendations! Now I can plan my day out. It wont even cost much to see all these sites either which I am excited about(since Im getting layed off)looking for a job though before trip.
Okay heres my list in order to see sites
1.The Medical Museum/American Civil War Center
2.Virginia Holocaust museum
3. St Johns Chhurch
4.Museum Of Confederacy
5.Hollywood Museum
6.Monument Ave (before dinner somewhere)
If we spend another day then we will do the
Aviation Museum
State Capitol
shopping on Carytown
Look good do does it need adjusted?
The Medical Museum and the American Civil War Center are about a mile and a half apart, so those are 2 separate places, although they are run by the same people.
The order to visit things depends to some degree where you are staying. If you stay downtown you may be able to walk to some sites, so group those together. Parking downtown is at somewhat of a premium during weekdays, so you don%26#39;t want to have to do that any more than necessary, if you%26#39;re driving around downtown.
The Medical Museum and St John%26#39;s Church are close together, in Church Hill, which is just east of downtown. Nearby, is the Holocaust Museum, so I would group those 3 together. The American Civil War Center, Museum %26amp; White House, and State Capitol are downtown, so I would group those 3 together.
Hollywood Cemetery is only open until 5 PM, so you may want to move that to early the next day, especially if you want to catch the walking tour at 10 AM.

You%26#39;ve come up with a good itinerary, and I think you%26#39;ll get a great taste of historic Richmond. I would encourage you to do something different from experiencing so much history, and fitting in a visit to Carytown would fit that bill. In addition to unique shops and good restaurants, there is a second-run theater in Carytown, the Byrd Theater, movies are $1.99. Keep it in mind.
