One day in CW what to do?

My wife and I are planning a two day trip to Williamsburg April 30 - May 2nd. We%26#39;re already planning on doing Busch Gardens May 1st. What spots in CW should we definitely see? I’m already planning on doing one of the ghost tours in the evening.

One day in CW what to do?

For one day, tour the Peyton Randolph House, the George Wythe House (open only in mornings), the Palace, the Capitol, and as many trade sites as you can fit in. We really like the wig maker and the milliner, but there are many to choose from. Check out the CW paper ';This Week'; when you get there to let you know what is open and where the sites are located. If you have time, participate in a trial at the Courthouse and take in the Rev. City activities that will be going on the day you are there. If you get hungry, have lunch at Chowning%26#39;s or a light snack at the Raleigh Bakery.

Also, check out the Calendar of Events for the dates of your stay. They have quite a few tours %26amp; programs going on during those dates. If you find something you would like to do ahead of time, other than the general historic sites, it can help you know how to plan out your day %26amp; what route to take around the historic area as you fit the historic sites in between the programs you wanted, to make the most of your time there. It will also ensure you are not kicking yourself at the end of the day by missing a program you would have really wanted that you found out too late about! =)
