We would come from PA. But I dont want to make the drive if there is not alot to do, besides being at the beach.
No kids with us either. We are a couple that isnt into the partying scene. So whats there to do?
Is there plenty to do at Virginia BeachWhat do you like to do? Depending on when you plan to come, there are lots of festivals during the summer, free nightly entertainment on the Boardwalk, shopping. If you like history, there are museums nearby and you can do a day trip to the historic triangle (Williamsburg - Jamestown - Yorktown). You can tour the naval base, and you can go to Oceana and watch the fighter jets practice taking off and landing. There are hiking trails at First Landing State Park and at Back Bay, and you can rent bikes for biking along the Boardwalk. Theater and comedy club are nearby as are several venues for concerts. Miniature golf, regular golf, tennis - it%26#39;s all available.
Maybe if you tell us what you%26#39;d be interested in and when you%26#39;ll be coming, we can give more specific help. In the meantime, you can check vbfun.com
Is there plenty to do at Virginia BeachWould be coming at the end of June, hubby is into history, not so much into trails and such, into eating good food, comedy shows. He has a bad back so cant do anything strenuos (sp?) I like shoppong, beach, boardwalk.
Maybe you%26#39;ll be here for Sandstock -- a music festival like Woodstock -- on multiple stages along the Boardwalk.
Since your husband likes history, maybe you%26#39;d enjoy visiting some historic homes or sites. Look at www.vbfun.com / click on Things to Do / click on History - scroll to the bottom and use the drop-down menu and follow the links.
I%26#39;ve never done this, but ghost walks are always a hit:

We have teenagers (16 and 17) so they love the Boardwalk and Atlantic Ave. But, my husband and I are not the party type either, we don%26#39;t drink at all. And we enjoyed the entertainers along Beach Street, walking Atlantic Avenue, shopping, getting an ice-cream and sitting on our balcony and watching the ocean. Our idea of a vacation is stress free, and what could be less stressful than sitting eating ice-cream and watching the ocean. We enjoyed walking on the beach in the morning and seeing what the ocean left during the night and the dolphins. I would say there is a lot to do if you want to, but if you don%26#39;t its a perfect place too. Hope you have fun!
