Grocery Store on way to VB from airport?

Is there an easy to find grocery store on the way to our hotel from the airport. We are staying at the Quality Inn Oceanfront and will want to stop and pick up some snacks and beverages. Is liquor sold at grocery stores or do you have to go to a liquor store to purchase?

If I were you, I%26#39;d go all the way to the beach. When you come off the interstate (it becomes 21st St), turn left onto Arctic and drive about 7 blocks to Harris Teeter, which is a very good store. The address is 2800 Arctic, so that means you%26#39;ll be near 28th St.

You can buy beer and wine in the grocery stores, but you%26#39;ll need to find an ABC store for liquor. I%26#39;m not sure which is closest. I see online there is one at 3333 Virginia Beach Blvd (runs parallel to the expressway). I%26#39;m pretty sure the one on General Booth Blvd is way out of the way.

There is an ABC store on Laskin Road in the Hilltop shopping center which is on the right side of the road coming from the beach.

Plenty of shopping at the oceanfront as Wendy mentioned. Unlike some beach communities, Va Beach has a lot of year round residents who also live at the oceanfront so you will find convenient ammentities.

I always like to be sure I%26#39;m settled, got my room/house, and got the one I reserved and got one I like before I buy groceries, especially perishables. Now, for VB we bring our own non-perishables from home since we%26#39;re close but I%26#39;m always more careful when it%26#39;s a greater distance.

There used to be an ABC store right over by the Harris Teeter...not far from the Farm Fresh on Laskin. Not sure if it is still there or not...it is around where they were building new apts. or condos.

Another bit of info:

You can buy beer and wine until midnight at any store (7-11, grocery store, etc) and you can purchase alcohol til around 1:45 am at any bar/restaurant/nightclub. Someone else already posted liquor store hours. =)
