cigarette prices

does anyone know about the average price of cigarettes in Virginia. I am planning a trip to Virginia beach this June and was wondering if i would be cheaper to buy them in P.A. or if Virginia was at all cheaper.

They are cheaper in North Carolina. But I think generally they are cheaper in the south than anywhere up north. Is there a certain brand you are looking for?

Camel menthol, Malboro lights, and Newports.

I am not a smoker, but I see prices on packs in my area around $5.25. I commented about this, and my husband said that an additional $1 VA tax has recently been addeded.

You know about the smoking ban thing in restaurants starting...now they say Dec. 1.

I don%26#39;t smoke but I used to see a sign in another county that said they have the cheapest cigarettes...so I thought there might be a difference county to city to county. But I don%26#39;t see that sign anymore either so that may be changed too. So, in other words...no, can%26#39;t help much:)

I just bought a carton of Salem at Food Lion and they were around $46.00 which did not include the 5% VA sales tax. The price at Farm Fresh is $53.99 not including the tax. They are getting very expensive. The two stores I jut mentioned are large grocery stores. There are a few discount stores around that sell them for around $35 but they are not at the Oceanfront. Hope this helps.

i havent had a chance to go to the store the last few days but i can tell you if you can get someone to get them on the military base for you they are alot cheaper there.

If you are driving down from PA and are coming down route 13, you will find cheaper smokes about 40-50 miles before you hit the baybridge tunnel.

Go to Southland in NC. It is literally across the state line into Carolina coming off of 168 through Chesapeake. They are the cheapest and I AM a smoker so I know. :O)
