We%26#39;re a couple in early 30s, we%26#39;ve never been to VA and we%26#39;re looking for a very live place to stay, lots of bars restaurant, shop and activities. We don%26#39;t mind the noise. But also close to the beach.

Anywhere between 18th and 24th street will put you closest to all the nightclubs and bars at the oceanfront. Just be sure to read reviews on the hotels first. I would not suggest Marjac, Tropicana... I think Howard Johnson is ok.. just be sure to read reviews and see what others have had to say, and check out traveler photos... pictures don%26#39;t lie! =)

In which part of Virginia beach is that? Can we find good value hotels or B%26amp;B ?

That is at the Oceanfront... the streets that run perpendicular to the beach, and to Atlantic Avenue (the closes street to the beach) are all numbered. The majority of nightclubs and bars are between 18th and 24th streets. If you want a more ';upscale'; scene, then go down toward 31st street, where the Hilton hotel is. There are also great restaurants and bars there, but no nightclubs on that end. But Catch 31, the restaurant on the 1st floor of the Hilton hotel, has a DJ on the weekends and staring in May (I think) they have live music outside nightly on the lawn, weather permitting of course.

Also, if you don%26#39;t mind being about 15 minutes from the beach, the Town Ceenter area is great too.. lots of restaurants, a mall right across the street, etc. But you will have to get on the interstate and drive to the oceanfront.
