We will have our 11yr olds with us, one is fairly brave, the other not so !( Dad not so brave either until he is broken in ) so we want to start off with something gentle ....We plan to go 22nd/23rd Jun so hoping it wont be too busy..
What's the best ride to start with in BG ?I%26#39;d start off w/ one of the 3-D virtual rides, like The Curse of DarKastle. It simulates an up-and-down ride without all the loopdie loops of a real roller coaster.

What's the best ride to start with in BG ?If you want to start off gentle I would start with the
Corkscrew Hill. It%26#39;s a 4-D movie with a ride.
I recommend Big Bad Wolf for a big ride. My 3 and 5 year olds were tall enough to ride it and after some convincing went on the ride and loved it. The 4D rides freaked them out more than the Big Bad Wolf, but that was just their experience. There are lots of other fairly tame rides in Italy too that my girls love. Have fun!
I would NOT consider Darkastle gentile-the simulation will REALLY get you queasy and can freak you out.
I felt like I was going to barf and my 11 y.o. kept his eyes closed.
And we are not ride wussies-will go on anything.
For a big coaster challenge, I agree-start with Big Bad Wolf. While they look super-scary, Apollos Chariot and Griffon are nice steel rides that are fairly smooth. They won%26#39;t beat you up. A. Chariot is my fave!
I%26#39;m not real keen on big coasters - but I loved Darkastle - I was laughing most of the time! I also enjoyed Corkscrew Hill.
Apollo%26#39;s Chariot is a fantastic roller coaster -- and that%26#39;s still after riding it over 50 times. But, since it%26#39;s a long walk from the entrance, I would recommend Loch Ness Monster to start -- it%26#39;s near the entrance and it%26#39;s a great ride.
If you want something really gentle, start off and take the train around the park. A glimpse of the coasters will get you into (or out of!) the mood to ride them.
Loch ness is one of my favorites, but I wouldn%26#39;t recommend it for ';breaking in'; dad. It is an older coaster but it is not tame.
I agree with apollos chariot and big bad wolf, they are both pretty good starters. You could also go for some of the more carnival type rides in Italy.
