My daughter and me will be in VB for the US Finals Cheer competition. We really only have one free day (Saturday 2nd) to do things.
What is the typical temp in VB in May?
Best places to eat for a teenager that typically likes bar and grill types?
Are there areas to shop near Quality Inn Oceanfront? That would appeal to a 16 year old?
Thanks for your help, we can%26#39;t wait to see VB it sound beautiful.

The typical temp around that time will probably be between 50-80 degrees... I know it is a broad range but I would not say there is an ';average';... we usually say ';If you don%26#39;t like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it%26#39;ll change.';
I would pack clothes for spring and fall temp. Be sure to bring short sleeves, and also a sweatshirt or jacket. It will more than likely still be cooler overall, with warm days scattered in.
As far as dining at the Oceanfront, there are alot of great restaurants. If I understand correctly, the Quality Inn you are staying at is at 705 Atlantic Ave? If so you are close to Mahi-Mahs, they have great seafood, sushi, sandwiches, etc. http://www.mahimahs.com/
What kind of shopping do you want to do- souvenir shopping or mall shopping? There are no malls at the beach, you would have to go about 10 minutes away (driving) to get to a mall or large shopping center. There are alot of surf shops at the beach though, that sell Roxy, Billabong, Volcom, etc. There is one at 17th and Pacific, one at 21st and Baltic (I think)- those are the 2 biggest ones. And the one at 17th street is a local shop, so if she gets their brand of clothes (17th street Surf Shop- thats the name of the store) then I can guarantee she will be the only one back home that has them! =)
Just be careful, coming from Missouri, you may end up like my mother in law and pack all your things and move to Va Beach after visiting!

This is perfect information. She loves to shop at for the brands you mentioned (usually at PAC SUN).
Thanks again!!
