?'s

I am wondering if Williamsburg would be interesting to an 8 year old boy? Is there enough to keep him happy?

I received a price quote from Governor%26#39;s Inn for two nights and tickets for four of us for $228. Is this a good deal?

If not where would you recommend staying?

Thanks,

depends on the 8yo boy.

you know him. does he like history? does he have the attention span for short talks on the trades?

go to the CW website, explore it - let him do it with you - you%26#39;ll soon know if it%26#39;s for him, the website is wonderful. If not CW the area also has jamestown, Busch Gardens, Water Country, Yorktoen and many local parks.

I will tell you most 8 yo boys I know would rather be elsewhere - your may be different, many are.

Thanks! I guess maybe a beach in Virginia will be better! Is Virginia Beach my best option?

Hi jonbennett1,

With all due respect, don%26#39;t let %26#39;bridgefan%26#39; underestimate your 8-year-old. Not sure where she bases the %26#39;most 8-year-olds would rather be elsewhere%26#39; comment. While of course it is true that every child is different, I have not come across an 8-year-old yet that isn%26#39;t completely fascinated with CW. In addition, I%26#39;ve done field trips with all age groups from age 5 %26amp; up, %26amp; there was never a child in any of the age groups that was bored- CW definitely takes different age groups into consideration when planning their programs. Even for myself the times I visited as a child, the only thing I can remember really getting bored with is when we did tons of the indoor building tours one-after-the-other, but I loved everything else and they have even more there to do now than when I was a child. As %26#39;bridgefan%26#39; suggested, do visit the website if you haven%26#39;t already done so (www.colonialwilliamsburg.com), and also check out their Calendar of Events page for the time frame you are looking for, for the programs %26amp; events going on during that time- in addition to detailed program descriptions, they have their events coded for which are particularly %26#39;kid-friendly%26#39;. Don%26#39;t rule CW out yet!

(And yes, the $228 deal for the four of you is fantastic!)
