Need advice - 5 adults and 4 kids - where should we rent?

would be great to be oceanfront, or near ocean, but i%26#39;ve also rented a big home with 3 couples and kids that was 20 min from va beach and boardwalk and that was good too. do any of the hotels on the boardwalk/right on the ocean/main drag offer condos or rooms that would fit all of us? i%26#39;m a widowed mom of 2 boys and like to vacation with a big group instead of us all getting our own separate rooms.

what are your thoughts?

Try some of the condo/apt size accommodations listed at www.vbhma.com When you get to the site, click on accommodations, then click at the room info on ';full kitchen'; (just for example...it%26#39;s a bigger group/place type feature) and below that section, click on ';suite';. You%26#39;ll get some of the larger accommodations such as Turtle Cay, Boardwalk Resort Hotel and Villas, Ocean Beach Club, etc. You can figure out how many bedrooms you need/will a living room sleep sofa do, etc.

Also take a look at the Vacation Rentals option on the left here. There are places north, south and middle. You can put in dates (seems to require a week) and number of people. On a quick check there are homes in Sandbridge and the north end...and I think at least one in the middle of it all.

We prefer the nice wide relatively quiet beach several miles further south at Sandbridge, but you might have to rent a beach house for the week instead going for a shorter stay. It%26#39;s actually the ';Outer Banks';, with the ocean on one side and the bay on the other, but still in Virginia.

I really like Sandbridge Realty. This year we are renting a house that has close beach access. We also rented a back bay home and that was nice too.

If you do a house it has some great advantages since you are not in a heavy tourist area but you still are still close to the boardwalk area. Plus I think the Sandbridge area is so nice. Their website has a lot of specials. Check it out!
