We will be bringing our boys 8%26amp;11 to CW in May. We are also going to DC. I am having a difficult time deciding how many days for CW. Will 2 full days and a 1/2 day before driving to DC be enough to see the main attractions at CW and Jamestown or do I need another day? There are so many things we want to do in DC that I am leaning on trying to schedule more days for DC. We will have 6 touring days total. We will be staying at the Embassy Suites and I have booked 2 evening programs. Does anyone have any family favorite dining spots? Also is there a Le Cresent cooking store at the outlet mall? Thanks
how many days
Also, does anyone have recommendations for any battlefield stops along the way back to DC?
how many days
You can hit the highlights of Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. Yorktown is another area of interest in the vicinity. You won%26#39;t feel like it%26#39;s enough time, most likely, but you will have lots of good experiences in your time here.
You wrote Le Cresent; did you mean Le Creuset? If so, there is a factory store at Prime Outlets.
There are some Civil War sites in the Richmond area and there were also some battles in the Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown area. Near Manassas is the Manassas National Battlefield Park.
Hi brevin,
2 1/2 days should be enough if you plan your time well. I would suggest checking out the Calendar of Events on the CW website for the dates of your visit to check out the tours %26amp; programs going on during those dates. If you find some things you want to see ahead of time, other than the general historic sites, it can help you know how to plan your day %26amp; what route to take around the historic area as you fit the historic sites in between the programs you wanted, to make the most of your time there. It will also ensure you are not kicking yourself at the end of the day by missing a program you would have really wanted that you found out too late about! =)
