How soon do you have to make a go/no go decision? Weather forecasts can change at any time. After a weekend of wet and cold, I%26#39;m hoping the forecasts are wrong; we%26#39;re ready for another nice weekend! Anyway, I%26#39;d give it a couple of more days, and then decide. You would enjoy it more with nicer weather.

Friday would be my first night there so I would have to decide by tomm....ugghhhh I just don%26#39;e know what to do I have been waiting all year for this.
It is quite usual, in fact it%26#39;s most of the time, that the weather forecast here %26#39;shifts%26#39;. It would not be unusual for the forecasted rain to be pushed out a few days. Wait until tomorrow and check again before making your final decision.
Also what were your plans while you were here, were you only visiting Colonial Williamsburg, or did you have other things on your agenda too? There are quite a few inside things to do at CW and at other attractions in the area. Let us know, and we can provide suggestions. The forecast is only calling for scattered storms at this point, and it is also currently only a 20% chance for Friday %26amp; 40% chance for Sat %26amp; Sun, so even if the forecast sticks (for once :) ), you may be able to plan some your outside activities around it. Let us know, and we%26#39;ll see what we can do to help.
I%26#39;m kind of curious though, why tomorrow is the last day you can make a decision? Was there a 3 day cancellation policy on your reservation? If so, I would call the hotel and ask for just a 1 day extension %26amp; explain why- hotels will quite often bend on cancellation policies when guests take the time to call ahead of time, %26amp; when it%26#39;s due to weather conditions.
40 per cent chance of rain means 60 per cent no chance of rain...
I don%26#39;t pay any mind to a local weather forecast outside of 48 hours. Maybe it%26#39;s cause we%26#39;re so close to the coast?
The locals always say, if you dont like the weather in Williamsburg, wiat 10 minutes it%26#39;ll change. And being a weatherman is the one job you can have and be wrong much of the time.
Thank you all sooo much.......you along with my boyfriend have settled my nerves a bit.....I think I am going to go ahead and go for it. I know there was a post about what to do in rainy weather however of anyone has any further suggestions(just in case) that would be great.
Thanks again you guys are great!!!
weather changes - here and everywhere, the forcasts here are just as reliable as anywhere else.
I would wait until the lastest you can to decide, check the forcast and do what suits you.
40% rain would be too much for me, since you are outside often.
This past week-end was miserable for the most past. No one here can tell you what to do - check the forcast and make a decision.
We have been to Williamsburg when it rained. We were still able to all that we wanted to do despite the weather. The only things that were cancelled were some of the Rev. City programming. We also toured the Jamestown and Yorktown sites. Take a couple of rain slickers with you and plan on a great time.
This last weekend was not miserable...having been on the streets of CW the groups that toured Williamsburg were able to cope with the rain and enjoy their visits. Rain happens -- and people who travel and understand that deal with it.
