casual, good eating in Sandbridge

I will be staying in Sandbridge for Memorial weekend. Probably the family and I will have breakfast at the condo and then out for lunch and dinner. Please give me the names and locations of some delicious, casual places to try for Saturday and Sunday lunches and dinners. We%26#39;ve never been to Virginia Beach. I chose Sandbridge because it is away from the hustle and bustle. I am looking for restuarants near where we will be staying, but please let me know about other favorites that would be worth a little driving. Thanks, Betty

I must confess I%26#39;ve not eaten at any of the restaurants in Sandbridge (out of the way for me), but here is a website that lists quite a few:

I%26#39;ve heard good things about Margie %26amp; Ray%26#39;s (which you%26#39;ll see on the left as you approach Sandbridge). Kelly%26#39;s Tavern, Atlas Grill, and Guadalajara should be good (I%26#39;ve eaten at other locations).

I ate at ';Zest'; just a couple days ago, right off Sandbridge Road near the beach (close to the water tower). It%26#39;s a casual sit-down/takeout sandwich place by day and a little more pricey ($15-$25 pp) by night. It%26#39;s very cozy inside, got a full bar, and seemed like a pretty nice place to eat. My club sandwich was very good and was good-sized, too.

';Margie and Ray%26#39;s'; (off Sandbridge Road) is probably one of the best casual seafood places I%26#39;ve been. It%26#39;s VERY casual and be sure to come VERY hungry. Be sure to try the she-crab soup.

The Baja Grill is at the far end of Sandpiper Road. When I went there for lunch on Friday it was closed. I don%26#39;t know if it was closed for good or just not up %26amp; running, yet. I think they used to do live music in the Summer but I%26#39;ve never been there.

There%26#39;s a convenience store at the corner of Sandbridge Road and Sandpiper. They have an ';Oceanview Cafe'; or something like it. I%26#39;ve never been there but I hear it is uninspiring and expensive for burgers %26amp; pizza.

The Tiki Seagrille and Bar is at the head of Sandbridge Road near the Bloom. They sometimes have live music and the burgers were pretty good.

Been to Sandbridge many times - we always visit Margie and Rays (great casual place) Last year we tried the pizza at the Sandbridge Island Restaurant and it was very good. Approx 10 minute drive off Sandbridge they have many restaurants - Red Robin, Outback, Tiki Grill. Been to the Baja on the southern end of Sandbridge - enjoyed our meal. Lots to chose from - enjoy yourselves.
