Best way to drive to Birchmere from I95 coming from PA

Hopefully someone will be able to see this before tomorrow afternoon.

We%26#39;ll be coming down to see a show at the Birchmere from I95 Corridor, north of Baltimore tomorrow (4/20).

Google maps, and my GPS say that I should take I95 to I295 to 50 West to 395 South.

The directions on the Birchmere%26#39;s website say:

Take I95 South to 495 West (toward No. Va.), follow to 395 North

Stay on I-395 north to the Glebe Road south exit. Follow South Glebe Road (do not turn

onto West Glebe Road) around the bend towards your left to the third traffic light.

Make a right turn onto Mt. Vernon Avenue.

Go approx. .4 miles up from S. Glebe Road and we%26#39;re on the left side just past the AutoZone Store. Go straight back to the building entrance. We have plenty of free parking on site.

I%26#39;m a little familiar with all the roads; but I think it would be best to follow what%26#39;s on the Birchmere%26#39;s website.

I realize traffic can vary and I know how it can get on 95/495... what time of day should I head down on to avoid alot of traffic jam? I have the day off from work. Now if the weather will just hold up :o -- I see online it will be rainy/windy and potential thunderstorms all day!

Follow the Birchmere directions. You will want exit 7 on 395. Don%26#39;t worry if you screw up and get on West Glebe instead of South Glebe, you would just take a left onto Mt Vernon then a right into the Birchmere parking lot (right after you take the 39 exit, there is a light and the road forks to the left (South Glebe) and right (West glebe). The Birchmere is on mt. Vernon right betwee South Glebe and West Glebe (actually closer to West Glebe)

I%26#39;d leave so I would get to 495 no later than 3 oclock if you really want to beat traffic. The line forms early at the Birchmere anyway, sometimes at 4pm.

If you are good with the GPS and google, you can still do 95 south onto Baltimore Washington Parkway (295) but so called rt 50 which is New York avenue just a long street with lots of lights and slower than beltway

Best way is a little too tricky - involving swinging round the new baseball park after going down SE SW freeway and then picking up 395 south - if you have not done it before, so i still say stick with Birchmere

I%26#39;m sitting here watching the weather and truly debating whether it will be even worth it to make the trip down... all the traffic and the bad weather! I%26#39;m going to try, anyway. I will print out your directions as well; thanks again for the tip!

Just wanted to let you know that I was able to get there; we left a little later than I had hoped and was afraid I would hit traffic. Although the weather was horrible; I didn%26#39;t hit any bumper-to-bumper traffic (amazing, I know). Thanks again for your reassurance!

I love the Birchmere; what a great place! Acoustics were amazing.

I got a little turned around leaving there late at night; but with my decent sense of direction and my GPS that can%26#39;t get around Washington DC to save it%26#39;s life -- I got home just fine.

Should have told you to just retrace your steps as the entrance to 395 North or south is right on South Glebe Road directly across exit 7 you took on the way in
