Best area/s in Virginia Beach for oceanfront rentals

We would like to bring our family to the place where we spent our honeymoon 50 years ago, Virginia Beach,

to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Since we haven%26#39;t been back since (not because we didn%26#39;t like it, how-ever) we are not at all familiar with the area. We are looking for a ';special place';, with an ocean-front location, in which to spend our special week. We would really appreciate suggestions from those of you who know this area as to the best neighborhoods in which to look (luxury single-family homes, family-oriented, etc.)

Best area/s in Virginia Beach for oceanfront rentals

Luxury homes can be found in Croatan, North Beach, and Sandbridge. Sandbridge is furthest from the resort area, so if you want to enjoy the free entertainment on the Boardwalk, the restaurants and the shops, you%26#39;ll have to drive 30 minutes and pay for parking. Sandbridge itself has only a couple restaurants and shops.

Croatan will be a 5-10 minute drive to the resort strip (Boardwalk, etc.).

North Beach is closest to the Boardwalk, but you might have to drive to the resort depending on exactly where you land.

I would look at Atkinson Realty (dot com), Sandbridge Realty, and Siebert Realty since all 3 handle vacation rentals. All have websites that will enable you to look at the rental properties.
