First time to Sandbridge Beach - Sandbridge Dunes Condo

Love these forums! My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids - 8 %26amp; 12) are planning our summer vacation (we are from central NJ). We%26#39;ve done Williamsburg 2 times and are looking for something a little more ';relaxing';. I%26#39;ve heard great things about this beach and have been looking at the Sandbridge Dunes Condo. I like the fact that it is beachfront, the rooms appear to be spacious and the pool looks nice. Does anyone have any experiences with this condo?

Thnx so much!!!

We have rented a house at Sandbridge for a week in august the last few years and can say the area is GREAT. I have never stayed at the Condos but they did give us a key to one last year so we could check it out and it was very nice.If you get an ocean front the ground floor does not see above the sand dune so get a higher one if you want to get a good view of the ocean.

4Ever, I live here so unfortunately I don%26#39;t know anything about the condos. I can tell you Sandbridge is a very good choice if you%26#39;re looking for something more relaxing. The beaches are very nice and family friendly. It%26#39;s not as built up and touristy as our Virginia Beach oceanfront/strip, but yet you%26#39;re close enough where you can easily go into that area should you want.

Metro %26amp; Maui - thnx for the feedback. Probably going to book our vacation this weekend and Sandbridge it is. Metro - I%26#39;m lookng at 4th floor rooms at the Sandbridge Dunes Condo - you%26#39;re point about ocean views from the first floor being well taken.

I am the owner of Zen at Sandbridge Dunes (Seibert Realty) and wanted to respond to your email. This is actually the first full year for the Sandbridge DunesCondos. Each unit is individually owned and each offers different amenities. The building is very well maintained and the owners take great pride into making this a great family vacation spot. Some advantages are that it is very conveniently located right as you enter the beach. It sits across from one of only two life guarded beaches. I live in PA and have spent much time up and down the Atlantic coast and it is one of the nicest beaches you%26#39;ll find. Also, there is a lot to do close by for the kids. I hope this helps!

Joang, thnx for the reply. We%26#39;re renting The Ocean Sweet (4th floor, ocean side) and really excited about the trip. I%26#39;ve yet to hear a bad thing about this area! You noted good things to do wiht the kids (we will be visiting Busch Gargens at least once). Can you recommend any specific things for kids in the 8 - 13 range?

Thnx so much - 4Ever

Be sure to check out the Virginia Marine Science Museum. We have taken our kids (3,6, and 9) there 2 times and they loved it...so did we!

4Ever, I think you%26#39;ll love Busch Gardens. A couple of things for you to do with your kids at the beach are the Virginia Beach Science Museum., which has a great aquarium, touch tanks, etc. Also there is Ocean Breeze Fun Park. This park is primarily a nice water park, but has other things like putt putt courses and race cars. There is also some arcades right on the oceanfront area, along with a couple of haunted houses, lot of shops and restaurants and in the summer time you will usually find some kind of music or other activity going on at the Virginia Beach oceanfront area.

Here%26#39;s a good site for you to check out things to do and things that are going on in our area:

Really hope you enjoy your trip to our area!

Have you looked at the Sanctuary Resort? I am trying to make our vacation plans and am torn between the Sandbridge and the Santuary. I wish someone would be able to tell me somethign that would make my decision easier! We typically vacation at my Sisters in NJ and go to Long Beach Island for the beach. I love LBI but didn%26#39;t see any good rentals. Also thought about Ocean City NJ.
