Charlottesville This Weekend

I am going to be traveling down to Charlottesville for a Friday evening wedding. We have decided to stay and spend the day Saturday/Sat night as well. Do you have any recommendations on things to do Saturday during the day? We will be staying at the English Inn. Is it possible to get a Cab to/from here from the downtown area? Thanks in advance!

Getting a cab won%26#39;t be a problem. I think you%26#39;re on the bus line, too.

I like the farmer%26#39;s market down town on Saturday mornings. It%26#39;s over on Water St.

Charlottesville This Weekend

You%26#39;re not too far from the UVA campus and its little shopping/food area called ';the Corner';. The Downtown Mall is also an enjoyable place to walk around, browse stores, and have something to eat. There are a number of places to check out local art and there may be entertainment at the Paramount or the outdoor ampitheater. As suggested above, check out the local weekly papers. The English Inn has wonderful management and I would contact them in advance to see if they provide transportation to the Downtown/UVA areas. There is a free trolley service between the 2 areas.
