BWI to Arlington, VA

Landing for the first time in Baltimore, needing to get to hotel in Arlington, VA. Probably will take a cab but curious how far/long of a trip is it? Thanks.

That would be a loong cab ride. On a good day, the trip is about 1 hour. Realistically, it could be 1.5 hrs.

If you want to save money, I would suggest taking a MARC train for $6 from BWI to Union Station in DC, then take a cab from there.

Amtrak can get you to Alexandria, VA from BWI for $24-35, but you will still need to take a cab.

Where is your hotel in Arlington? If it is near a Metro station, you could take MARC to Union Station and switch to Metro.

A no-train option could be the SuperShuttle. You%26#39;ll have to share the ride, but it should be cheaper. Why don%26#39;t you get a quote for this, and based on that, make your decision whether you want to pay more for your own cab, ride SuperShuttle or take the train.

I have done this trip many times and agree, the MARC train is the only way to go(you can do Amtrak during off hours and can find the rates and schedules online). The train is quick and inexpensive. Once you get to Union, take the Metro to the nearest location to where you are staying, chances are you will be able to walk to the hotel from the metro station. You will pay less money round trip doing this than you would one way with a cab, and it is faster.
